Friday I'm in love

We have established that herringbone is my favorite pattern, right? Right. It works on any medium and I'm drawn to it everywhere. Way back around the time when winter was turning to spring, when my obsession with quilting began (looking at and thinking about quilts, that is, not actually making them of course), I spent a bit of time perusing flickr and stumbled upon this beauty made by a nice gal named Latifah. I was instantly in love.

I love the beautiful, bold colors. I love the gold contrasted on the turquoise. I love the idea of a whole cloth quilt, letting the quilting itself be the focus. This one is perfection.
