June's charity blocks for Do Good Stitches

Natalie is our June quilter. She asked for spider web blocks in raspberry and chartreuse using this tutorial. I love the color combo she chose, so pretty. I was especially glad for an excuse to get a few prints from my favorite fabric line ever. I also got a chance to use some of the strips I won from Falling for Pieces back during SMS's Giveaway Day. She gave me quite a big box of strips, I'm anxious to do more with them (when will this summer slow down??).
Which segues nicely to...this entire summer has been busy. Good-busy, fun-busy, but BUSY. Sewing in general has definitely taken a backseat. Big projects are simply beyond my reach at this time. In fact, I've put the shop on vacation status for a couple of weeks, because I know that trying to squeeze any more in is just going to give me an ulcer. That's why I love this group, do good stitches. Two blocks each month is perfect. I genuinely enjoyed my time putting these blocks together and it fed my love for quilts and desire to do more with them in the future. And I will, just you wait and see, only three years till my youngest starts kindergarten. Ha!

I love spiderweb blocks! I'm using my scraps to make a quilt. The problem for me is that I stop and make a different quilt just to get the scraps for my spiderweb quilt. It is sort of crazy!!

Yours are beautiful!
